Chery Galaxy ET Range-Extended Version Achieves 2141.4km Maximum Range in Official Test - IT Home

Chery Galaxy’s official Weibo announced today that their new Galaxy ET, with a full tank of fuel and fully charged battery, departed from Wuhu City, Anhui Province, and after 42.5 hours, arrived at Guangzhou University City’s Outer Ring Greenway at 11:09 today, achieving an “extreme range” of 2141.4km.

According to the official poster, this range test passed through more than 20 cities across Anhui, Hubei, Jiangxi, and Guangdong provinces.

Not long ago, on May 6, the Galaxy ET underwent a high-altitude drop test: from a height of 31.9 meters, the front compartment absorbed most of the energy, with the longitudinal beam’s energy absorption box fully compressed, absorbing most of the impact energy. The A-pillar remained undeformed, the battery didn’t catch fire, and the doors could still open normally.

The Galaxy ET’s pre-sale price starts at 199,000 yuan, positioning it as a mid-to-large SUV. It will officially launch tonight, with prices expected to decrease further.

IT Home summarizes the currently known information about the vehicle as follows:

The vehicle’s dimensions are 4955 x 1975 x 1698mm with a wheelbase of 3000mm. It comes in five exterior colors: Mountain Green, Cloud White, Starry Black, Frost Blue, and Moon Shadow Gray.

The range-extended model features the Galaxy Golden Range Extension System, including a dedicated engine, generator, battery, electric drive, and electronic control. It achieves a WLTC fuel consumption of 5.2L/100km. The range extender has a displacement of 1499ml with a maximum power of 115kW, top speed of 180km/h, pure electric CLTC range of 200 kilometers, and a combined range exceeding 1500 kilometers.

The pure electric version features a dual-motor layout, with front and rear motors producing maximum power of 183kW / 230kW respectively, achieving 0-100km/h acceleration in 5.46s.
